The Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana was established by Dr. Jana P. Kaimal, founder and director, in March 2000.  In August 2007. Michelle Zimmerman N.P. returned to the Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana after a stint at Vanderbilt University.

A CPAP Director was added in March 2003 to focus on the set-up and initiation of CPAP therapy for those patients needing treatment for sleep apnea.

For the convenience of our patients our Certified Registered Sleep Technologists perform sleep studies at night as well as some daytime testing, seven days a week.

The Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana is the ONLY comprehensive sleep center in Southwest Louisiana to be nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. We specialize in the diagnosis and management of many sleep disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs Syndrome, Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, Shift-Worker’s Sleep Disorder, Insomnia, Excessive Daytime Sleepiness and Narcolepsy.
